Recently I have started to feel like my reading is becoming a bit bleugh (I use bleugh because I can't think of an appropriate word).
I think I should read some classics, but I need some suggestions.

well i just got given the rough guide to classic novels (or similar) for my birthday, so i shall riffle through and see if i can come up with anything.
off my own bat i would recommend jane eyre, the remains of the day, the time-traveller's wife, north and south, fire and hemlock...i think that's enough to be going on with!
I've read Jane Eyre, and I started the Time Travellers Wife - but is that really a classic????
i think i would call it a modern classic...
